Window and Gutter Restoration Fundraiser

We need your help!

The full-height windows and half-round steel gutters on our 1871 Meeting House are in desperate need of restoration. Over the past 147 years, the window glazing has degraded and condensation has damaged the wood surrounding the original rolled glass panes. The gutters, a style not used on buildings for the past century, have sustained considerable water and ice damage. The leaks are contributing to drainage issues that could endanger the building itself.

Because the work must be carried out by a historic restoration expert (per the requirements of our status on the National Register of Historic Places), the total cost for this project is a daunting $7,458. But thanks to a $2,000 historic preservation grant and a $2,000 matching grant from a local charitable trust, we need only raise a total of $3,458 to get this critical work done and preserve our building and museum!

UPDATE: Thanks to some very generous individuals in our community, we are more than halfway to our goal! Please consider donating to help us fund the remaining portion of our restoration project.
