Those attending should meet at the Meeting House (6510 S. Franklin Rd.) at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 20. The trolley will not wait for late arrivals.
The Historic Artcraft Theatre was built in 1922 as a combination silent film theatre and Vaudeville house. Now owned by nonprofit historic preservation organization Franklin Heritage, Inc., the theatre has been restored to its original Art Deco glory and features original neon fixtures, mosaic tiled floors, lobby murals, and more. Proceeds from tickets and concession sales go to support theatre restoration, as well as the preservation of other historic structures in Franklin and the surrounding area.
